Benefits of adjustable elevated post bases

Adjustable elevated post bases are strong fixings, are ideal for fixing vertical posts where a degree of adjustment is required. Our standard range is manufactured from grade 304/A2 stainless steel, in various sizes, and can be used for a wide range of applications. We can also manufacture to order from grade 316/A4 stainless steel.

How to install adjustable post bases.

Start by fixing the base to your foundation using chemical resin anchors. or throughbolt concrete anchors. Next, adjust the post base to the height that you require. Finally, fix your post to the top plate using coach screws or woodscrews. It is important to note that adjustable elevated post bases are not recommended for posts or columns that are not restrained at the top, e.g. fence posts.

Some of our best-selling post bases include the 75 x 250mm Stainless Steel Adjustable Post Base (Type 5), which has a top plate size of 75 x 75 x 6mm and 4 x 6mm holes. It comes with two lock (half) nuts and is available in five other sizes, including 75 x 400mm Stainless Steel Adjustable Post Base (Type 5), 120 x 250mm Stainless Steel Adjustable Post Base (Type 5) and 150 x 250mm Stainless Steel Adjustable Post Base (Type 5).
