Restraint straps are used to connect timber floor and roof systems to masonry walls. They ensure fast, effective anchoring against strong winds and have pre-drilled holes for easy fixing at multiple points. We have available galvanised steel and stainless steel, light-duty and heavy-duty restraint straps. We stock lengths up to 3 metres. In our own factory, we can cut, twist, and bend straps to your requirement.
The 600mm Light Engineered Restraint Strap is lightweight yet robust, and very strong. It is quick and easy to install and eliminates the need to notch joists. The strap complies with BS EN 845-1 and is available in 800mm Light Engineered Restraint Strap, 1000mm Light Engineered Restraint Strap and 1200mm Light Engineered Restraint Strap. If you require a heavy-duty strap, our 600mm Heavy Engineered Restraint Strap is perfect for the job.
This 400mm Galvanised Heavy Duty Restraint Strap is 30mm wide and 5mm thick, with eleven 6mm holes and a 90-degree bend. This particular style of strap is available in over twenty sizes, as well as with custom dimensions. You can order a custom size by calling our sales team on 01206 793100.
Our 75mm Stainless-steel Light Duty Restraint Strap is also 30mm wide and 2.5mm thick, with 6mm holes for fixing. It is important to note that the 90-degree bend is included in the overall length. If you need something stronger, our Stainless Steel Heavy Duty Restraint Strap is 5mm thick and can therefore take more stress.
At Speedy Fixings, we also offer barrier posts, like this Stairwell Protection Post, which complies with BS EN 13374. It is suitable for both horizontal and angled timber/boards up to 50mm wide and is ideal for use around stairwells or window openings. Its bright, yellow powder coat makes it highly visible, and it can be used for either corner returns or a straight run.
We offer other types of builders metalwork, like wall ties, connection plates, and timber connectors. For more information regarding our restraint straps, contact our team today. We can be reached at 01206 793100 or email@example.com.
