Backing plates are designed to keep pipework, beams and tubes securely in place by working together with U bolts to prevent movement. Without adding a backing plate, the pipe, tube, beam or pole is exposed on one side, which allows for movement. When a plate is added between the bolts and the pipe, the pipe will be permanently fixed, preventing rattling.
U bolt legs slot through the backing plate openings and then secured with nuts and washers for a tight and secure fit. U bolt backing plates can be used for various applications, including anchors for foundations and roofs, connecting cables to walls, supporting pipework and bolts for vehicles and boats.
