Shield only anchors are medium to heavy-duty anchor fixings designed for attachments in heavy substrates including concrete, masonry and brickwork. We have two different shield only anchors available at Speedy Fixings including the zinc-plated shield-only anchor and the stainless steel shield only anchor, which both come available in various thread sizes from M6 to M12.
These shield anchors are known as ‘high expansion anchors’ because they feature thick expansion segments which provide exceptional grip. This is particularly effective in oversized holes which may be left behind from powerful drills used in weak materials like brickwork.
