Description
Heavy Section Countersunk Drill Screw – BZP 5.5 mm Ø
The Heavy Section Countersunk Drill Screw (5.5 mm Ø, BZP) is designed for direct timber-to-heavy-gauge steel connections, eliminating the need for pre-drilling. Ideal for structural applications such as mezzanine floors, steel-frame cladding, and heavy-duty fencing.
Key Features:
- Heavy-Section Profile: Suited for medium to heavy-gauge steel, where light-section screws are insufficient.
- Countersunk (CSK) Head: Provides a flush, professional finish in timber applications.
- Bright Zinc Plated (BZP): Offers corrosion resistance for indoor and protected outdoor environments.
- Self-Drilling Tip: Drill point designed for steel up to 12.5 mm thick. However, for very hard substrates, a small pilot hole can be used to assist with insertion speed.
