Splice plate vs gusset plate

In construction, splice plate is also the name given to thick metal sheets used to reinforce the connection between structural steel members, including structural beams and structural columns.

Gusset plate is commonly used in large structures, such as bridges and buildings. These steel plates connect beams and girders to columns and can be fastened to permanent members by bolts, rivets or welding.

Nail Plates.

Nail plates are versatile perforated plates used for connecting and strengthening timber joints as well as other wood elements. Our nail plates are made of pre-galvanised mild steel, feature a thickness of 1mm and can be purchased in a wide range of widths and lengths.
